Allan & Valerie MathuraSenior PastorAllan Mathura is a native of Trinidad, West Indies. He was eleven years old when his family (father, mother and three sisters) migrated to the United States. His parents were converted from Hinduism and responded to the call to further their ministry in the United States in 1968. Pastor Allan Mathura has served as Senior Pastor of South Metro Ministries (formerly Peachtree C.O.G.) since 1985. His educational background includes: the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from Lee University, Cleveland, Tennessee; the Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree from Georgia State University, Atlanta, Georgia; and the Master of Arts (M.A.) in Pastoral Ministries from the Church of God Theological Seminary, Cleveland, Tennessee. Currently, Pastor Mathura serves on the Board of Direrctors for the Pentecostal Theological Seminary (Cleveland, TN), North Georgia Evangelism Board, North Georgia Chairman of World Missions, District Overseer for the Church of God in North Georgia. He is married to Dr. Valerie Mathura who is his partner in ministry and a public school Principal. They have two daughters; Jennifer, who is a public school teacher and Kimberly, who serves with her husband, J. C. Worley, as the Student Pastors at South Metro Ministries, and their grandson, Laiklan Worley. |

Jeff A. MerrimanFamily Life and Administrative PastorPastor Jeff is an ordained minister with the Church of God and comes to us from Pennsylvania with his son Jesse, two daughters, Heather and Carli, and his beautiful wife Traci, who also serves as our church secretary. Pastor Jeff has an extensive background and training in the corporate world including business, marketing, advertising, corporate travel, manufacturing, and has been owner, operator of his own and family businesses over the years. Pastor Jeff has served in ministry for over 15 yrs prior to coming to Georgia and was involved in every aspect of church ministry: including children, youth, young adults, couples and administration. In 1994 Pastor Jeff moved his family to Newnan, GA to expand their family business during which time he also served our church as a Royal Ranger commander, our first ever Jr High youth pastor, interim senior youth pastor, and church elder. However, in 2004 God called pastor Jeff out of the corporate world and into full time ministry where he has devoted himself to SMM and its people ever since. Pastor Jeff is our family life and administration pastor and heads many of our adult ministries and leads our Midweek service as well where he brings an annointed and passionate word each week. He looks forward to ministering to you and hopes you plug into one of his ministry teams as well. |

David ZuccalaChildren's PastorBorn in South Florida, David Zuccala spent his early childhood on the beaches with his parents and two brothers. Later his family moved to Alabama where he experienced his first opportunities of Ministry. David has had the blessing of working in Youth and/or Children's Ministry for over 17 years. He has lived in Newnan with his wife, Rachael, and their three children Jadelyn, Jaxson and Judson (aka Jade, Jax, & Jud) since 2002 when he accepted the position to serve as Children's Pastor at SMM.

JC WorleyStudent PastorJ.C. Worley currently resides in Sharpsburg, Georgia with his wife, Kimberly, and their two year old son, Laiklan. J.C. has been working full time with teenagers for the past 10 years. He and his family presently serve as the Student Pastors at South Metro Ministries in Sharpsburg, Ga. (www.liquidstudents.com)
In 1999, J.C. founded the “Tampa Teen Helpline,” a 24-hour emergency call center for teenagers. The “Tampa Teen Helpline” was created to allow teenagers the opportunity to talk with a professional licensed counselor on all issues - ranging from: teen pregnancy, suicide, and relationship struggles, to issues with parents. J.C. has recently been involved in “THE CADRE.” The Cadre is a twelve-month personal mentoring journey with Jeanne Mayo, who is acclaimed by Ministries Today as “America’s Number One Youth Pastor.” J.C. now serves as President for the National Youth Leaders Association. NYLA was established to Link and Connect as well as to resource Student Pastors and Student Volunteers around the country. He also sits on the committee for Smokey Mountain Winterfest. The concept of this big-event is the gathering of students across the country. Several hundred youth groups and their leadership attend, numbering into the tens of thousands. J.C. is highly involved in the public school system and travels the country preaching to more than 12,000 students annually both on a local and national level. |

Chad A. StaffordWorship Arts PastorPastor Chad Stafford is a credentialed minister in the Church of God and currently serves as Worship Arts Pastor of South Metro Ministries. He has served in a variety of pastoral roles over the past twenty two years since receiving the call to ministry in 1989. Prior to coming to South Metro Ministries, he and his wife ministered in churches across West Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Florida. He and his wife Philana have been married for twenty years and have five wonderful and adventurous children. They are both alumni of Lee University. Pastor Chad holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a Church Music & Worship emphasis. Currently, he is pursuing graduate studies in worship theology from Liberty University Theological Seminary. Pastor Chad has extensive experience teaching on worship and training choirs and worship teams; he has been featured as a guest soloist, clinician, and choral conductor in cross-denominational worship seminars, conferences, recordings, and concerts. In 2007, he had the distinct honor and privilege of being invited by the Greg Laurie Harvest Crusade Ministries to direct the Harvest Crusade Regional Raleigh/Durham Mass Choir for their crusade at Raleigh's RBC Center. Local outreach and music missions have also been very important aspects of Pastor Chad’s ministry experience having led many worship teams and choirs to minister outside the church to areas such as Post Katrina New Orleans as well as countries such as Germany, Ireland, and Ecuador. Pastor Chad and his family are excited to join the South Metro Ministries pastoral team and church family and are looking forward to what God has in store!

Traci MerrimanChurch SecretaryTraci has served as our church secretary for 7 years and has been a valuable asset to the church and our staff. Traci is married to our Family Life Pastor Jeff Merriman and has worked with Pastor Jeff in the corporate world as well. Traci has 20 years of experience in administrative, customer service, operations, and special event planning. On the personal artistic side, Traci is a certified stencil teacher and artisan and owns her own jewlrey making business called Woopsie Daisies as well. Traci is fully devoted to her husband, family, the church, and the Lord and it truly shows. |
